Negativity is running rampid around here for some reason. It's interesting to me to see someone who literally has everything he wants, yet he can always find something to complain about. It's sad and pretty dern annoying!
I pray for certain people in my life and I do it daily but I guess I'm not praying enough for him. He's happy and then mad and then he's okay and then mad about something else. If there's some reason to pray for him, it's to make him happy. I do know that without God in his life, he can't truly find happiness. I know this because I've been there before and I realize that in order to find peace, which is what he needs, he must find God and live his life in Him.
I'm hoping this move to Pensacola will change some hearts in my family and help us move on to bigger and better attitudes!
Saving Grace
Story
Ayden has always been named my 'saving grace' and now Owen has been name my 'little angel'. These two boys have saved my life!

Goodbye..
There's been a lot of death around the people I know lately. I, thankfully haven't had to experience the grief of that in several years but a lot of other's have.
The latest one was my girlfriend's brother. He was on a motorcycle and an 18-wheeler hit him. He was 27 when he died. They buried him on his 28th birthday. That is the extent of it .. it's hard for her to talk about and really, she doesn't want to talk about it so I just smile and move on to another subject.
There was a time in my life where it seemed like everyone was dying. One after another, they died and it scared me. "Who was going to be the next one to go" was my next thought. I always wondered if they were saved; if they were going to heaven or not. When I'm in heaven, I want to be able to run and hug the members of my family and the friends in my life that I've lost. I don't want anyone I know to be 'lost'. It breaks my heart .. I can only imagine how hard it is for God having to say "You're not in This Book" when those souls are sent to Hell.
I feel like though my girlfriend is a Christian, she doesn't know how to rely on God to get her through this. I don't know how to tell her she will make it through without her thinking she wants to tell me to shut up. I feel like I dealt with my dad's death well. I grieved and moved on and although I think about him a lot, I know he's in Heaven and that makes my burden much lighter. If you cannot make it through the bad times, how can you truly benefit from the good times?
Death happens daily. There's no escaping it, thanks to the Devil for tempting Eve. If it wasn't for my faith in God, I'd be a miserable person not knowing how to fully love and forgive. God knows what he's doing and has laid out a plan for each and every one of us. He knows the number of hairs on our heads. He knows when a sparrow dies. If he can care enough to know those 'miniscule' things, how much more important to Him do you think we are?
I've learned to appreciate the people I have in my life and the people that care about me enough to call or text or email me. Without those few, literally a handful of people, I don't know what I would do. I'd be sad. I remember being the happiest girl in the world.. the only thing that changed was death and unforgiveness. I forgave "him" and have started feeling a little bit happier.. I know there's a ton of happiness left for me and I have to find it again. I hope to find it again once we get back to Florida and I know where to find it. I just have to get off my butt on Sunday mornings and go :)
So, I guess what I'm trying to say is even though bad things happen, we can find the good in it and turn it around and be joyful instead of sad/mad. There's a time to grieve, but grieve and move on. Be happy, because if you live your life in strife and sadness, no one will want to be around you and how fun is that? Not very.
ENJOY your family, friends, life, anything around you because God has given it to you to enjoy and to share!

EARS!
For some reason, Ayden and I have horrible problems with our ears. I had 8-10 ear infections yearly until I reached 21. At 21, I had surgery on my ear that has left me partially deaf in my left ear. Thankfully I am able to hear well and don't seem to have problems hearing. I do say "huh" a lot, but the day someone tells me how annoying it is, that'll be the day I go get a hearing aid!
Ayden has a ton of ear infections as well and is on his second, stronger round of antibiotics. He'll be on medicine for half a month so I hope this time it gets cleared upI'. I hope he doesn't have to go through what I went through when I was young and hope it just vanishes. Can you imagine an ear infection for 20 days!? It just makes me sick!
Owen also has his first ear infections that he's fighting and is doing a great job at it. He woke up once last night so here's to a night of hopefully sleeping through the night. Maybe he won't have as many as I had when I was young. Todd never gets sick so I hope that is in Owen's genes.
I'm thankful for health insurance, sweet doctors and nurse practitioners and for medicine to help heal the boys. I have a lot to be thankful for and am glad we're on the road to recovery.

Hi. I'm Angela and I have a problem!
You know how you can go to church and it's like the pastor is talking directly to you? I think God does that to me in words of people around me. In the past 3 weeks, 3 people have talked about friendship and not knowing how to speak to strangers or how to approach someone in conversation.
Something similar happened to me with tanning in a tanning bed.. and I quit going, but that's besides the point.
My point is that I have a problem. I have family and very very few friends. I would love to have a friend or two that have kids and understand me, and what I'm going through.. not that I'm going through anything right now, but.. I don't know, just to have a friend. Someone who's there to encourage me and just be my friend! haha
I have people in my life that are nice to me but I can truly say I have maybe 4 friends. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing but that's what I have. I know that these 4 people would be there for me in a hot-minute if I needed them, so what am I complaining about?
How do you talk to people? How do you meet people that aren't crazy, or weird, or swingers (seriously) or their kids aren't bad?? I think my main 'problem' with meeting people is they don't discipline their kids and I don't want to hang out with them if the kids are bad. I can not handle parents with bad kids because I think it shows a lack of responsibility on the parent's part. Bad kids = lazy parents.
BLAH! :)
I guess sometimes I feel like I don't have a personality, that I'm just a mom and a wife and that's all I have to offer. My kids are awesome and loved but that shouldn't define who I am...

What we're up to..
We're finally moving back home. Our renters are moving out in August!! We're so excited to get back home to our family and the handful of friends we have left. It's funny, you invite people to weddings and baby showers and people don't RSVP or show up when they say they'll come.. Sometimes those are the people you don't want in your life anymore. Anyway. We have our house for sale still and hope that it sells quickly! Once it sells, we'll just have a mortgage payment in FL and that will be all we owe. It's amazing how not worrying about payments can revive your life. Now we have to find a good church to get into. Something that won't scare Todd off! Although, I'm not all about speaking in tongues in the middle of service.. that really gets me upset. We've got a lot on our minds when we move home and hope that it goes smoothly. The kids and I are moving back in June so a 2-day trip will be interesting to say the least. I'm sure we'll be fine. So, we're staying with my mom until August 1 and then we've rented a condo on Perdido Beach for the month of August and I cannot wait!
So, with my 'handful of friends' .. I'm hoping I can find some good women to hang out with. I sometimes think how sad and lonely I am not having anyone to talk to but I have to realize that a part of that problem is .. well.. me. I am afraid to socialize because I'm afraid I'll get hurt or that people won't like me. I gotta get into some sort of mommy-and-me group or something!
Ugh.
The boys are good. Owen is 10.5 months old and is finally crawling! He has 8 teeth and is a handful but so much fun! Ayden is almost done with school and is on his 3rd year of baseball and is loving it. Batting from a pitching machine is much harder than underhand, but he's doing great regardless.
Todd is well and is working hard for us. I'm so thankful I'm able to stay at home with the kids. It's something I never thought I'd want to do, but it truly gives my heart joy and I feel like this is why I'm alive right now.
Just a few more weeks and we'll be home... CAN NOT WAIT!

You're perfect to me
...Pretty pretty please, don't you ever ever feel
Like you're less than, less than perfect
Pretty pretty please, if you ever ever feel like you're nothing
You are perfect to me!
This is one of Pink's new songs. It is explicit with the FBomb so get the good version instead of the F Version. I must say, this song was on tv the other day and if Todd wasn't walking around I probably would've ended up bawling my eyes out.
I always think I can be prettier, more toned, less flabby .. but you know what? I am perfect to someone - to my children and my husband and my God. I don't have to worry about what you think about me because I know I am loved and I am pretty and I am blessed and I am perfect in God's eyes.
This is a good running song, which is why I initially downloaded it, but I love the message in the song and could probably play it the entire run and not get bored with it.
That song and "Just the Way You Are" by Bruno Mars are for women - 100%! I have a lot more that I'm getting on my ipod but I just thought I'd share those :)
