USTC Training - 10% off

My mission is to fill you in on US Training Center, formerly Blackwater. I work in the sales/training department and have been here for a little over a year. I have supported this company for over 5 years now and will continue doing so because I believe in the work our men and women do. I’m not writing to talk about work overseas. My Coupon trip today! Oct. 5, 2009

Today's Shopping Trip

Today, I saved $37.21 in my MVP Savings and $8.40 in coupons. I ended up spending $70.71 on all of this, but I got some really good deals!
Crest toothpaste was $1.75 each and I had two coupons for $1.00. Each toothpaste was only $.75 after the coupons. (Originally $3.00something per tube.)
Cheese was buy 1 get 1
Nestle cookies was 2 for $5.00 and then I saved $.55 each which made it $1.95 each
Jiffy cornmeal was 5 for $2.00 ($.40 each)
Spaghetti microwaveable was $1.00 each (had to buy 10) and then I had two coupons for $.40 off two so I saved $.80 off that ($9.20 total)
Cinnamon raisin bread was $1.70 off making it $1.99 for the loaf
Coke products was b1g1 making two 12-packs only $5.99 (good for guests or parties)
Ken's dressing was b1g1 making it 2 salad dressings for only $3.00
Panty liners were $.99 each with $.55 coupon off two. Two at $1.43
Gain detergent was $6.59 for 40 washes with $2.00 off making it $4.59 (Got this coupon in the mail!)
Cereal was b1g1 and I had $1.00 off two cereals. Two boxes came up to $2.92 after the coupon
Chicken breast is b1g1. Two bags for only $10.99
Danimals was $2.89 with $1.00 off coupon making this only $1.89
Got two sweet potatos at $1.22
And the most expensive thing I bought today was the apples. I LOVE this kind - they are called honeycrisp and I eat at least 1 a day so I bought 5 of them at $6.42

Even though I spent $70.00 on this, without the MVP card and my coupons, I would have paid $116.32. I could have doubled some coupons at Harris Teeter but it wouldn't have saved any gas money going to VA so I think today was ultimately a success.

One more most AWESOME thing going on right now at Food Lion is buy $45.00 worth of groceries (end total must be $45.00 or more) 1 time per week for 6 of 8 weeks and I get a FREE TURKEY just in time for Thanksgiving and I get a $20.00 electronic coupon off my next order (after all turkey credits are redeemed). I must say, couponing has opened my eyes and I am so excited to show Todd how much I saved today! Oh, and I got a lot of free coupons at the store too!

The past week

Yay! I didn't find out why my back hurts a lot but I did find out that my scoliosis has not progressed and I do not need surgery. In fact, if I ever were to have surgery, it might make problems worse. This is the second doctor/surgeon I've seen and he said the same as the first one. That's wonderful news because I did not want to have surgery!

Now, Todd and I are on track again about having a baby. There was a little hesitance in our minds because we had the thought of surgery, but that's no more so we are really trying to get pregnant. If it doesn't happen, I think I will be upset but I know it will be for the best. I'm praying God gives us what we need and can handle so it's not in my hands anymore.

I'm happy to say my coupon accordian is organized for now. Maybe when I get to be a "pro" at couponing, I'll get a better system. I did save $34.00 at Food Lion yesterday - $28.00 was in food lion rebates (mostly buy 1 get 1 free's) and then $6.00 in coupons. I didn't have a lot of coupons, but what I did have helped me out a ton! It gets me hopeful our budget will work and hard work is always appreciated.

Oh and before I forget - GO GIANTS!

All I can do today is laugh. My friend, Christy, posted something today. She said she is glad God's mercy's are new each morning. Girl, you are so right!

Today, I had my ENT follow-up appointment for the allergy test I had in July. I found out that I'm allergic to everything they testd me for. I knew that already, but it's hard to think about when you get the results. All I can do is pray for healing and if you pray, please pray specifically for this for me. I've had problems with allergies since I was in elementary school - mom would have to pick me up and take me home because they got so bad at times. Pray without ceasing! That's what I'll be doing - so if you think of me - just pray for healing. I started off saying all I can do today is laugh. My ENT also said I'm eligible for a hearing aid. I'm only 26! AH! Oh and my ear is crazy.. I'll tell you about that another time.

I had to take my friend home from work today because her allergies are just as bad as mine. She, however, will go into anaphalactic (sp?) shock if she isn't careful.

Friday, I go to the orthopedic specialist to see if surgery will be in my future (of course unless the Lord heals my lovely back). 5 years ago, my x-rays showed a 31 degree curve in my back. 2 years ago it progressed to 37 degrees and on my most recent x-rays, I am now at a 42 degree curve. It's painful at times and I know my body would be more healthy if my nerves were getting more signals to parts of my body. So, Okay, IF you pray for me =) .. pray for healing from head to toe. Specifially allergies and back.

I guess today I needed to let you know how I feel in the hopes of prayer! I cannot wait for tomorrow .. Mornings are always the best!

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!

Ahh it's nice to be at home and not feel horrible from a sinus infection. Unfortunately, I've felt like poo the last few weeks and I'm still congested BUT I'm going to the ENT to get my allergy results Tuesday. Obviously I know I'm allergic to everything (HA! Thanks mother nature). I just want to know what I can do to get over it and get myself healthy, especially since Todd and I are trying for a mini-Schrader.

Ayden is going into his 3rd week of first grade. He has a male teacher this year, Mr. Sanderlin. I'm not sure if Ayden really likes him yet, but I know he will do good in his class. He's doing great so far on his "grades" (I say "grades" because it's not A's or B's .. it's 4-0, 4 being the best grade).

I had a good 26th birthday. Even though Ruth's Chris in VA isn't as good as the one in Destin, it was awesome to have my two favorite boys spending time with me. Life is good when they are around. Happy Birthday to me!

We ended up in Luray, VA Labor Day weekend. It's about 5 hours away from good old Currituck, NC. We had a safe trip there and back. I was really stuffy and not feeling too hot but I had a good time nontheless. Ayden ended up getting sick with a sinus infection/ear infection but that kid is a trooper. We were in the caverns in this picture. I don't know if we would go there again (It was about $50.00 for the 3 of us to walk around in a cave) but it was a beautiful site. I didn't think nature was more awesome to look at until we went there. I love the outdoor life, but the underground life can also be exciting!

Todd went today to Pope AFB for a load-master position with the AF reserves. I don't know if this is his calling (he has 9 years of service under his belt) but he went for his interview and was positive and hopeful. He was very excited after he called me on the trip home so if this is meant to be, I'm praying this is where God wants him.

Good things in store for the Schrader's (and Kennedy..hopefully Schrader one of these days). I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

By far, the BEST night of my life

Do you want to know something? I led Ayden to the Lord last night! We were reading some of his Bible stories and just happened to flip to the last page where it had a picture of the Lamb’s book of life. Before I read it to him, I told him about it and how my name is in that book so when I go to heaven, they will ask my name and see it printed in the book and let me enter and not have to go to hell. He was so excited that he just started praying and asked God to come into his heart so his name would be in that book. Isn’t that awesome! Then, my son witnessed to Todd =) He took his book and made him read it ..
I'm so excited, as a mother, to be able to lead her child to Christ. I didn't know how awesome it would be but I'm glad I was able to and not anyone else! =)

Oh, how I've missed typing for you...

Today, I will start off by saying this will be a short post (maybe). I forgot how good it really feels to freely type on here and not feel bad about saying anything. I feel like I am clueless and my life is pointless and going no where. Well, that's how it feels anyway when I don't read my Bible or do studies in the mornings. I recently purchased a new book so I hope it's what I need. God always seems to put things in my life right when I need it. Hopefully I can help encourage others to read devotionals and to truly be happy!

www.proverbs31.org is such a God-send to me and I have passed it along to others hoping it will help them along like it has been helping me. I tend to love the Lord and then I fail and hit rock bottom then come back to the Lord simply by being sad and hitting rock bottom. That's where I am at right now.. Well, I am on the way up and looking at my Light again.
